Day 72 & Edsger Wybe

by Dan

“Simplicity is a great virtue but it requires hard work to achieve it and education to appreciate it. And to make matters worse: complexity sells better.” ~ Edsger Wybe

Edsger Wybe was a world famous computer scientist and above he makes two great points. Firstly simplicity is hard work. As explained by my post on entropy, to achieve and maintain simplicity you have to ‘do stuff’. Secondly complexity does indeed sell better, again described in a previous post.

Today’s Daily Act of Simplification wasn’t computer rocket science, it was a simple email unsubscribe, but it is another step forward!
